Educational apps can enhance teachers’ productivity, making their work much more effective and easier. There are various educational apps for teachers that they can select to carry on their everyday tasks.

Still, making the right selection remains an important decision for teachers to make so that they can reach their objectives.

Here is a list of 14 essential educational apps for teachers, regardless of their student’s grade level or subject matter. These are arranged into 4 categories: instructional tools, classroom management, personal organization, and learning.

Instructional Tools

1. Schoolwork

Using this free app, you can easily create assignments, collaborate one-on-one with students, and track students’ progress. This helps you tailor your teaching to your students’ needs and so boost their engagement. Download this new iPad app here.

4. Shadow Puppet Edu

5. Vidra

This is another great free app that you can use to create elegant video presentations for your students. It is simple to use. You can draw elements, select from a variety of pictograms to use in your video, change the animations, and choose audio tracks. 6. Teacher’s Assistant Pro

This helps you keep track of students’ actions, behaviours, and achievements in the classroom. You can send reports quickly and easily to parents and administration by texting or calling them from your iPhone. Collect the data, enter it then share it with them. 7. Bloomz

If you want to communicate and coordinate with parents, this app will make that process more secure, and easy to use. You can send photos, and classroom updates to parents regarding their students’ behaviours and progress. 8. Remind

Remind, another app to reach students and parents where they are. You can send messages to your students (individually and/or the whole group)such as daily assignments, reminders of upcoming tests, deadlines, etc. You can also message or email parents to stay up to date with what’s happening in your class.  So, download Remind.

9. Strides

10. Evernote

13. Kobo

With Kobo, you can read anywhere, anytime on any device. After creating your account, you can browse any book title from the provided categories. The available library has over 1.4 million titles.
